National team to face China, Hong Kong

The national football team will have two friendly matches against China and Hong Kong in June, according to the Viet Nam Football Federation's general secretary Ngo Le Bang.

The two matches which will be organised on away ground and are part of plans to give Vietnamese players more international experience.

The friendlies will also help the national team prepare for the Southeast Asian Football Federation Cup later this year.

Viet Nam will play China on June 8. It will be their sixth clash, with Viet Nam losing all previous games. Viet Nam will meet Hong Kong two days later, having drawn once and losing once to Hong Kong before. — VNS
