U22 team to battle Chinese Taipei

Viet Nam's U22 football team will meet Chinese Taipei in their first match in Group G at the U22 Asian Cup 2013 qualifying round in Myanmar on June 23.

They will then meet Myanmar on June 25, the Philippines on June 28, Malaysia on June 30 and South Korea on July 3.

Despite beating South Korea 1-0 in the 2010 U19 Asian Cup qualifiers, they are still regarded as Viet Nam's strongest opponents.

A round-robin format will decide the top 15 teams who will be joined by the host nation in the final stages of the event. — VNS
