Blaze breaks out in plastic workshop

BINH DUONG — A fire ripped through a plastic workshop in Di An Town, southern Binh Duong province yesterday morning, causing large amounts of damage.

Some 100 fire fighters and 10 fire engines were sent to put out the blaze, which covered an area of 1,000 square metres and spread onto surrounding boarding-houses.

Workers and local residents were evacuated from surrounding properties, no one was injured.

Investigations of the cause of the fire are underway.-VNS
