Lightning kills two, injures 20 workers in Gia Lai

GIA LAI – Lightning killed two people and injured 20 other workers in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai yesterday.

The local health centre in Mang Yang District received and treated 20 people injured by the lightning strike. All of the victims were workers who were planting trees for the Thuy Ha Company.

The workers sought shelter from the heavy rains and lightning in the afternoon, but were still struck and the hut they were in burnt down.

Currently, all 20 victims of the lightning strike have basically recovered, said the centre. – VNS
