Strong wind leads to airship explosion
NHA TRANG — A big airship worth 1.2 million euros (nearly US$1.5 million) was blown up by strong winds during heavy rain on Thursday in Nha Trang City's Seaside Park 4 in southern central Khanh Hoa Province.
The blast did not leave any casualties, but caused considerable damages to the airship's owner, the Nha Trang Sea Hon Tam Jointstock Company.
The airship, which has a diameter of 22 metres and was imported from France, has the capacity of carrying 20-25 people and flying to the maximum height of 150 metres.
Since April, the airship has carried around 4,000 customers. — VNS
