Blaze damages wood products factory

BINH DUONG — A three-hour blaze destroyed 800sq.m of workshop and storehouse at Dong Phuong wood processing factory in Tan Phuoc Khanh Town in southern Binh Duong Province early yesterday.

About 60 fire fighters and 13 fire engines attended the fire.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.

Northeast faces risk of flooding, landslides

HA NOI — The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has warned north-eastern provinces to watch out for flash floods and landslides.

This follows predictions for heavy rain in the next few days from a low-pressure trough.

Rough seas, thunderstorms and high winds are also forecast for the centre and southern regions of the East Sea.

Weather patterns are being affected by a storm in the north-western Pacific Ocean, between South Korea and Japan. — VNS
