Da Nang hopes pictures will tell a thousand words for tourists

DA NANG (VNS)– The central city of Da Nang will host a photography contest from January 27 to April 14, according to deputy director of the city's culture, sport and tourism department, Tran Chi Cuong.

"Vietnamese photographers from across the nation are encouraged to send over photos, in colour or black and white, which show the beauty of Da Nang city," Cuong said.

"The contest aims to promote tourism in the city before the start of the annual Da Nang International Fireworks Competition on April 30 and May 1."

The winner will walk away with VND7 million (US$333), the runner-up will pocket VND5 million ($238) and the third place prize is VND3 million ($142).

All photos will be on display at Da Nang Museum from April 25 to May 1. – VNS
