My Quang noodles voted typical dish of Da Nang

My Quang (a noodle dish particular to Viet Nam's central region) was named Da Nang City's culinary specialty by 300 experts and gourmets.

At a competition last week, chef Nguyen Thanh Ngoc from Crowne Plaza Hotel in Da Nang won first prize for his preparation of My Quang.

In April, the city also introduced a record-breaking bowl of the noodles that was recognised by the Viet Nam Book of Records.-VNS
