Antiques, historical photos go on display in southern city

CAN THO — An exhibition featuring more than 300 objects from different periods in Viet Nam's history will open to the public at the Can Tho Museum today.

Selected from thousands of collections kept at the museum, the objects on display include ancient clay items from the Oc Eo Civilisation (1st-7th century AD), Vietnamese currency from different time periods, and jewellery of ethnic groups living in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta.

Besides the ancient objects, the exhibition will also display 100 photos of the remarkable political events that took place in Ha Noi after the August Revolution in 1945.

The exhibition runs until December 12. — VNS
