Coastal city to host Miss Viet Nam

DA NANG — Forty candidates, who qualified from competitions in northern and southern provinces and cities, will begin their contest for the Miss Viet Nam title next Saturday.

As scheduled, the jury will watch their performances at the 2,000-seat Tuyen Son Sport Centre in the central coastal city of Da Nang.

The winner will get a cash-prize of VND300 million (US$14,000), while the runner-up and third place take VND150 million ($7,000) and VND100 million ($4,700), respectively.

The final night will be broadcast live on August 25.

It's the first time the city has hosted the Miss Viet Nam pageant.-VNS
