My Tam becomes YouTube partner

HA NOI — Popular singer My Tam is the first Vietnamese singer to become an official partner of Youtube.com, her company MT Entertainment said on Wednesday.

To become an official partner of Youtube, an individual or collective should meet a number of strict requirements such as having high quality video clips regularly posted on YouTube. Official partners also have to attract high number of views and subscribers to their youtube channel.

In addition, the video clip's owners must prove their legal rights to the song, musical performances and images.

Singer My Tam's company has met all of the website's requirements. Tam's recent album titled Chuyen Nhu Chua Bat Dau (Pretend We Had No Start) has generated more than 1 million views on the site during a short time.

Tam's work will be protected on YouTube with copyrights and receive benefits from advertisements on her official YouTube channel, youtube.com/user/MyTamTube.

My Tam, whose real name is Phan Thi My Tam, is from the central city of Da Nang and has been one of the leading singers and composers in Viet Nam since 2002. — VNS
