VNA launches photo contest

HA NOI — A photo contest to record the beauty of the central province of Binh Thuan during a hot air balloon festival was launched on Tuesday.

The contest will be held for Vietnamese and foreigners to take photographs during the First Viet Nam International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in the province from August 29 to September 3.

Each contestant can send as many photos as they like to the organising board before September 10. The prizes will be VND20 million ($1000) for the first, 10 million ($500) for second, 7 million ($350) for third and 3 million ($150) encouragement award.

The contest is being organised by the Viet Nam News Agency, Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Chien Thang Company.

The jury panel will be made up of veteran photographers from the Viet Nam Artistic Photographers Association and the Vietnam News Agency.-VNS
