Young bands to show off during ‘Summer Sessions'

DA NANG — More than 100 young people aged between 18 and 23 will compete in a music competition, titled Summer Sessions, to be held at Li Do Bar in My Khe Beach this Sunday.

It will be the biggest music contest for young Vietnamese and foreign amateur singers living in Da Nang and the central region. Cash-prizes total VND40 million (US$2,000).

Philip Bossley, an organiser, said the contest would select the best of 30 qualifying on July 1, 8 and 15.

Solo and music bands can perform at the contest pre-event open night from 3pm until night on Sunday.
