Belgian comic strip writer to visit VN

HA NOI — Belgian comic strip writer Jean-Claude Servais will be a special guest at the third Comics Festival in Viet Nam to be held in Ha Noi from May 31 to June 10.

During the 11-day event, which is co-organised by the Wallonia-Brussels Delegation and Kim Dong Publishing House, there will be an exhibition dedicated to the famous writer, whose stories usually take place in the forests of the Ardennes.

Jean Auquier, the founder of the Comics Festival in Viet Nam, who is also director of the Brussels-based Belgian Comic Strip Centre (CBBD), will be attending the festival.

While Servais will hold a creative workshop with Vietnamese artists and comic strip writers, Auquier will meet school and university students in Ha Noi. — VNS
