Mrs World Pageant's vice chairman is Vietnamese

 

HA NOI – Winner of the Mrs World Friendly 2005 Doan Thi Kim Hong has become vice president of Mrs World Inc and vice president of the organisation in Asia.

David Marmel, chairman and founder of the Mrs World contest, appointed Hong to the position and said she has the added honour of being the first foreigner to hold the position.

As part of her duties, Hong is authorised to seek business opportunities on behalf of the organisation.

Since her participation in the Mrs World pageant in 2005 in India, Hong has spared no effort in promoting the contest in the country. She brought the 2009 pageant to Viet Nam's Vung Tau Province and supported other Vietnamese beauty contestants to join the competition.

After Hong, compatriot Nguyen Dieu Hoa reached the top five in the Mrs World 2008 competiton, while Hoang Thi Yen and Thu Huong were also runners up in 2009 and 2011, respectively.

Hong, an executive manager of The Trade Fair&Advertising Incorporated Company, was a member of the Mrs World judging panel in 2008, 2009 and 2011. – VNS
