Second Dong Nai 4 turbine inaugurated

HA NOI — The second turbine at the Dong Nai 4 Hydropower plant started contributing power to the national grid on Sunday, said the plant's manager Pham Van Cuc.

He said the Dong Nai 4 plant, located in the two Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Nong, was now operating two turbine groups with total capacity of 340MW.

This would contribute an average of over 1,100 billion kWh per year. Cuc said that the Dong Nai 4 Hydropower plant would be one of the two largest hydropower plants in the south. – VNS
