Waste recyclers can borrow up to $70m

HCM CITY – Projects for recycling waste in HCM City can borrow up to 70 per cent of the investment estimate, according to a new support programme launched by the city's Fund for Waste Recycling.

However, the loans can not exceed VND7.5 billion (US$3.6 million) each and their duration has been fixed at seven years each.

Meanwhile, the grace period for capital and interest repayments will not be more than one year.

Director of the city's Fund for Waste Recycling, Huynh Phu Nam, said the programme aimed to co-operate with enterprises to minimise environmental pollution. - VNS
