Trade with Australia tops $5 billion

HA NOI (VNS)— Two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Australia surpassed US$5 billion last year.

Viet Nam's exports to Australia rose to more than $3.2 billion, up 29 per cent from the previous year, mostly from cameras and components, petroleum, iron and steel, pepper, means of transport and spare parts.

Although Viet Nam's imports from Australia were roughly US$1.8 billion, down 17 per cent, two-way trade turnover still reached an impressive figure.-VNS
