Feed, livestock industry expo opens in HCM City

HCM CITY (VNS)— The latest technologies and products in the livestock industry are on display at the International Feed, Livestock and Meat Processing exhibition, which opened in HCM City yesterday.

The three-day Vietstock 2012 has attracted more than 200 exhibitors from 30 countries, including the UK, the US, the Netherlands, Singapore, China, and Viet Nam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Diep Kinh Tan said despite facing many difficulties, the livestock breeding industry has grown annually at 6-7 per cent and contributed to economic development.-VNS
