Seafood production rises by 4%

HA NOI — The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said in the first eight months of the year, aquaculture output reached 3.63 million tonnes, increasing 4 per cent over the same period last year.

Of the total, sea exploitation was 1.6 million tones, 7 per cent higher than the corresponding period last year. Central Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces had the highest tuna productivity. Aquaculture raising output in the period was 1.9 million tones, representing a 3 per cent year-on-year increase.-VNS
