Student wins UniSim context

Ha NOI - Vietnamese student, Dinh Quang Tuyen, won first prize in the 2012 UniSim Design Competition Student Challenge in the Asia-Pacific region, held in Australia.

Tuyen, a student from Ha Noi University of Technology's Chemical Engineering Faculty, had used the product design of Honeywell UniSim Design Suite to simulate the performance cycle of the most important transformation in oil refineries, Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC).

The accuracy of the simulation model was tested through the use of crude oil at the Dung Quat refinery in Viet Nam. The "UniSim Design Challenge" contest is annually organised by Honeywell for university students to encourage those who are studying engineering. — VNS
