Profits soar for food processor

YEN BAI — Yen Bai Forest Agricultural and Food Products Co (CAP) earned VND95.2 billion (US$4.5 million) and posted a profit of VND7.6 billion ($360,000) in the second quarter – increases of 151 and 600 per cent, respectively, over the same period last year, and exceeding the company's profit target for the entire year of VND7 billion. While input and other costs of doing business skyrocketed, interest costs decreased significantly during the period.— VNS
