Eximbank wins best domestic bank award

HCM CITY — Vietnam Export Import Joint Stock Commercial Bank (Eximbank) was awarded the Best Domestic Bank in Viet Nam 2012 title by the finance and business magazine Asiamoney on Wednesday.

The award was based on several criteria including growth rate, business initiative, rate of return and network expansion, the magazine said.

This year's first half saw the bank's net profit at almost VND1.4 trillion (US$67 million) compared to VND1.27 trillion ($61 million) in the same period last year.

Its chartered capital stands at VND12.355 trillion ($594 million), which is expected to rise by 10 per cent this year.-VNS
