RoK company begins work on steel mill

BA RIA-VUNG TAU — The ‘POSCO Specialty Steel', company of the Republic of Korea, began the construction of its new steel mill in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on Wednesday.

The steel mill is located in Phu My II Industrial Zone in the Tan Thanh district of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province on a site of 50ha and with an investment capital of US$594 million.

Its annual production capacity is estimated to be around 1 million tonnes. The project is due to completed by July 2014.-VNS
