According to the State Bank of Viet Nam, in the
first eight months of the year banking credit grew at 10.23 per cent
compared to 4.33 per cent a year earlier. It is expected to grow at
15-17 per cent this year.
Viet Nam and South Korea signed a free trade agree-ment (FTA) in May and
it will take effect next year. Trade between the two countries,
including in food products, is expected to soar.
